Colors

Come, let me share my knowledge with you on how to understand color. Let’s take the fear out of choosing your fabrics.
Details
Let’s throw on some old clothes and play with some paint. Yes, I said paint. Knowing which colors make up YOUR color is the fun part. Understanding value and how colors play together is KEY. Bring some scraps (if you have them) for some brain exercises and come ready to have fun while I share with you what I know, along with some techniques that will help take out the guess work!

Basic Serging

Doris will show you how to adjust tension, secure stitches, sew ribbing, attach elastic and gather with your serger. You must know how to thread your serger prior to class.

Beginner Quilting

Learn to quilt from square one to a finished table runner. You will learn color selection, precise cutting, stitching techniques, quilt assembly, borders and binding. You’re sure to learn, even if you’re not a beginner!

Do Not be intimidated or scared! This is a technique based class. Denise will show you how to take a practice piece of fabric or even a square from a panel, and turn it into a work of art!

Compass Points
with Kristie Munson
This is NOT a precision but an guided Improv.
Details
Not a TRUE Improv but not a precision class either. If your not ready to throw out the rule book then this is your class. Guided Improv is a more structured technique than Imrovisational piecing. You are given guidelines to follow in creating your block, so the end result will vary from mine. Staying consistent with each of your blocks will keep them similar.
It is a fun process. Let’s learn to loosen up!

The Design Wall – BOM
by Carolina Asmussen
Beginning May 1st, Kristie will have prepared kits. Finished quilt size is 65″ x 85″
Details
The blocks start out easy and continue to be more advanced. There are several techniques you will learn such as the orange peel, flying geese, appliques and curves.
Each month you will receive a kit containing all the fabrics and instructions you will need.
There will be 7 blocks for 7 months.
The cost per month is $20.
Each block will be released on the following dates…
