Tiling Scene for Any Occasion!

Details
Tiling scenes are so impressive. Have you wished you could make one but felt like it was out of you reach? They look like a painting but they are actually 5″ x 7″ tiles you stitch out individually and then sew them together just like you would blocks for a quilt. Most tiling scenes have 32 tiles you would stitch out however, there are some with as little as 6 tiles. A tiling scene can feature two different looks: embroidery alone or with appliqué and there are so many to choose from.
This class series will get you started on hooping techniques and some great tips and tricks alone the way. There will be a lot of homework in-between because in Session 3, I will show you techniques on construction.

Are you new to machine embroidery? Maybe you just need a refresher! Need some encouragement or someone to guide you each step of the way through a project. Let me help you accomplish your embroidery goals!
In this series of classes, you will learn about different types of stabilizers, how and when to use them, needle knowledge, thread knowledge, hooping, as well as other information about supplies often used in machine embroidery.
Along with covering the fundamentals of machine embroidery, I’ll give you some tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way.
PLEASE NOTE; this is a series of classes OPEN TO ALL BRANDS of machine owners. However, you will need to know how to navigate your machine. I am only knowledgeable with a BERNINA.
I will be offering two dates for each class. You will have a Saturday or Monday to choose from. I need a minimum of 4 students for each class to make. Please call or come in and secure your spot!
B2B Intro: TBA
In the am portion of this class, we will cover stabilizers, materials, needle, thread, hooping and tips. After lunch, you will learn how an applique technique by making a patch using a wash a way stabilizer.
B2B Computer Basics and Napped Fabric: TBA
In the am portion of this class you will learn how to download your purchased digital designs to your laptop. How to locate those designs on your laptop. How to “unzip” the file. How to send the designs to your USB stick. Also, how to transfer designs from one USB stick to another. Along with how to store your designs. After lunch, you will learn how to stitch on napped fabric, ie, a bath towel or robe.

This class is project focused. You will learn how to center your design and stitch it out on a jean jacket.

This class is project focused. You will learn how to center and stitch out your design on a T-shirt.
